It is always an interesting experience, no matter who I speak to, and even though I have never had one person say to me, “well that was a complete load of rubbish”, I still lack belief in myself, however I do believe that the ‘imposter syndrome’ is prevalent in many of us no matter what we do for a living.
However, when I am actually doing a reading for someone, the thoughts and information always comes from outside of me. I am not sure exactly how I can describe this but when I am writing for someone, for example, I couldn’t tell you a word of what I had written afterwards.
The biggest joy is when my clients tell me that I have ‘hit the nail on the head’ or that is ‘spot on’. In fact, thinking about it, this is what I am always told. I do remember one of my clients telling me that no one else even got close to the truth like I had.
It does make me feel very responsible for what I tell people and I know that during my spiritual training it was pointed out that as a ‘high level psychic’ it is our duty to give the messages we have been entrusted with from spirit in an ecological and responsible manner.
For example, let’s take the iconic comment of – You will meet a tall dark handsome stranger!! If you actually said that to a sitter then this could alter their future directly. The human brain can only take in a certain amount of information at once. If you are looking for a tall dark handsome stranger then guess what? That is all that you will see, you will then perhaps miss seeing the dark blond medium height person that spirit wanted you to bump into because in the sitters mind, dark means black hair whereas in the readers mind, dark means anything but blond. Do you get my drift?
So when I get the information from spirit, which is usually in picture form or just as a knowing, I need to try and pass that on to the client in a way that takes them down the best path for them but does not stop them from seeing all of the other paths that are open to them as life changes and your pathway is not set in stone.
After all, we are here to experience life and learn along the way and were gifted free will to be able to choose and make our own decisions.
